Performing-self expression What: Performing opportunities will provide people an opportunity to self express and share their work with a larger audience. This often takes form as open mic events What will happen: Everyone can introduce themselves Everyone will play a small ice breaker game Everyone will be able to share some of their work with people Video will be shared with Surrey Art Council, and CloseLook productions Receive a certificate recognizing your efforts Writers of various skill levels and interests(activism,current events,social issues, short stories/poems) looking for opportunities for development, self expression, and recognition When: Fourth Wednesday of the month at 7pm Why: Self expression: People will be able to express themselves on a larger platform People will also receive a certificate of appreciation and will have a video of them performing potentially on the Surrey Art Council and CloseLook productions, our social media and other organizations. Open mic: Description: Open Mic Events provide a platform for people to self express, and share their work to a larger audience. People are usually provided 10 minutes to share their work in front of a friendly audience.
